Kenneth Lau

Mr. LAU Siu Hang (Kenneth) is pursuing his PhD in the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He currently serves as the President of the Lingnan University Christian Alumni Association and is the author of the book: What Kind of Christian College? Reassessing Lingnan University's Relationship with Christianity published recently in 2026.

His research centers on Chinese Christianities, with a particular focus on the ecumenical dimensions of Christian education in Late Qing and early Republican China, as well as in colonial and post-colonial Hong Kong. He is developing his doctoral project that examines the de-Christianization/Secularization of Lingnan University from its founding in 1888 to the present. He is also an Elder of his independent church in Hong Kong with the mission to conduct academic research while contributing these theological outputs for the betterment of the local church communities.
