From the Archives: A Series Roundup

•

On occasion, we feature posts in a series on this blog. This allows us to use multiple posts to cover a topic in a more in-depth manner or to garner multiple perspectives on a given topic. In case you are new to this blog or just missed them the first time around, I thought it would be good to highlight a few of the series we have done in the past couple of years.

Church Music of China

In this twelve-part series, I looked at music that is used in both registered and unregistered churches in China. Each post includes an accompanying video.

How Many Christians in China

For this three-part series, I put the following question to five different China church scholars and ministry workers: What is your best estimate of the number of Christians in China? Since the true numbers are not known, all we have are best estimates!

God at Work: How the Church Grows in China

In this series, we highlighted the results of an extensive research project on church growth. Rather than focusing on the numbers, it tried to get at the question of how the growth was taking place. This series includes ten posts.

Outside the Wall—In Exile

When China’s borders were closed in March 2020 due to Covid-19, hundreds of foreigner workers were stranded outside the country. Most have not yet been able to return. In this series we asked four people to write about their experiences in exile; where they’ve landed, how they are continuing their work from a distance, and what God has been teaching them.

You can find a list of the other blog series that we have published here.

Thanks for reading!
